Frequently Asked Questions

A Real Estate Domain Name is your unique website address on the internet. No two domain names are the same and as such, when you register a domain name it’s like taking title to a property. Once you pay the initial cost of obtaining a great domain name, it will be yours as long as you pay the yearly registration fees which are currently about $10 per year.

In one word, credibility. If you wish to present yourself as a professional real estate agent, you need to be online. The last time I checked, the search engine Google.com recorded 68 Million searches for the search phrase “real estate” in the United States in just ONE MONTH! Studies have shown that approximately 80% of the traffic going to your website or blog will come from the search engines. If you want a piece of that traffic you need to help the search engines find you and the best way to do that is with a great domain name.

Decide which domain name(s) you have an interest in and click the “Buy Now” button at the bottom of each domain name page. This will take you to a secure PayPal.com website where you can input your credit card information to purchase the name. After we receive payment, we will forward the domain name to the registrar of your choice. If you do not currently have a registrar I would suggest GoDaddy.com. Click on the GoDaddy banner advertisement on the bottom of each page to set up a free GoDaddy account.

Pointing or forwarding a domain name lets you automatically re-direct your domain names visitors to your main website. Let say your main website domain name is "RaleighPro.com" and you also own "RaleighProperty.com" you can take advantage of the traffic coming into the RaleighProperty.com website by pointing/forwarding it towards your RaleighPro.com website with a 301 redirect. This increases the traffic coming into your website and allows you to maintain your brand.
